Location: Concordia University, downtown campus (75% on site work)
Duration: Part-time, 10 to 15 hours per week for 4 months. There is a possibility that this position evolves into continued part time or full time employment.

Position Overview:
The ACT Lab is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to support the production of an escape-room inspired game on older adult mistreatment (elder abuse). This innovative project aims to create and implement an interactive and engaging tool to raise awareness about older adult mistreatment across Quebec, and to work with specific communities to adapt the game to local realities. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, graphic design capabilities, manual skills, and proficiency in both English and French.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and implementation of the interactive tool escape-room inspired game, including culturally-specific adaptations.
Contribute to the creation of educational materials and resources related to older adult mistreatment awareness.
Create physical clues, which includes sourcing services locally, graphic design, printing, crafting and assembly.
Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining project documentation, and preparing reports.
Collaborate with team members to ensure the smooth execution of project activities.
Assist in the translation of project materials and communications between English and French.
Qualifications:
We encourage applications from students registered in a graduate program at Concordia University. Non student applicants or students from other institutions will also be considered.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, and artistic capabilities.
Basic graphic design skills, including experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and Canva.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in French and English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Interest in social gerontology, communication studies, game studies, or related fields is desirable.
Ability to maintain WordPress websites is an asset.
Salary:
The salary for this position will reflect union rates for CREW union contracts, or between $26 and $32 per hour for non-student applicants, commensurate with experience.
