  • Knowledge Mobilization: Develop strategies to share findings and best practices with the broader community, including creating multimedia training materials.
  • Community Engagement: Facilitate ongoing communication with stakeholders to promote participation and support.
  • Sustainability Focus: Collaborate with partners to integrate sustainable practices into all aspects of the project.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., communication studies, environmental science, sociology, community development, applied human sciences).
  • At least 3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in community-based settings.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in partnership and relationship building, and program development.
  • Knowledge of food insecurity, sustainable gardening practices, and/or intergenerational engagement is an asset.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required. Fluency in French is a significant asset.

Working Conditions

  • Full-time, 35 hours per week.
  • $70,000 per year, with annual increases.
  • Benefits and working conditions in accordance with New Hope policies.
  • Two-week closure over the Christmas holidays, excluded from vacation time.
  • Initial one-year contract with potential for renewal.
  • The position entails working across multiple sites. The majority of the work will be done from a downtown Montreal office, and presence throughout the neighbourhood of NDG will be necessary. Hybrid work options may be available, but a strong in-person presence (3–5 days per week) is required, depending on project priorities.
